David Ravin ’94
David Ravin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UNC Charlotte in 1994. He holds two master’s degrees: one in architecture from the University of Michigan and one in real estate finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David is the president and CEO of Northwood Ravin LLC, a company focused on developing, constructing and managing luxury housing throughout the Southeast, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic.
David previously worked at Crosland and was the president of Crosland Residential. He developed over 75 multi-family communities with a market value exceeding $3 billion and received national and regional recognition from the National Association of Homebuilders, Urban Land Institute, ICSC, CEL National Customer Service Company and National Multi-Family Housing News.
David previously served on the UNC Charlotte Foundation Board as well as the Belk College of Business’ Childress Klein Center for Real Estate Board. During his time as a student at UNC Charlotte, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
In November 2022, the David R. Ravin School of Architecture was named to honor a multi-million dollar gift. David is also a supporter of Charlotte 49er Athletics, most recently underwriting and serving as executive producer of the ESPN+ docuseries about the Charlotte 49ers football program and head coach Biff Poggi.
David resides in Charlotte, N.C., and has three children.
